Stop Killer Robots - Escape The Scan #TeamHuman

As you’ll no doubt know, we’ve been working to ensure human control in the use of force for a while now – since 2012 in fact. We believe that technology should be used to empower all people, not to reduce us – to stereotypes, labels or just a pattern of 1’s and 0’s.

To bring that idea to life, and to support our petition to bring about a ban on autonomy in weapons systems [which you can sign here if you haven’t already LINK TO PETITION], we’ve embraced some of those technologies and created a new interactive social media filter – a game we’re calling Escape the Scan.

Escape the Scan an augmented reality experience that invites you to move around to escape the killer robot’s scan.

It’s available through your Instagram camera [here] and you move around to see if you’re able to escape the scan before the time runs out.

Thankfully the filter isn’t like real life killer robots so if you can’t escape, you can just try again - but it’s fun trying all the same – we’ve even been using in The Hague - that raised a few eyebrows!

Ancient Fisherman

- Norval Morrisseau's Prime Period [1970's] "The fish, sacred trout, was the most respected of all fish. The trout gave the Indian life in abundance and according to Ojibwa Indian mythology it represented his soul carrier. The trout carried the Indian soul through transmigration into an other existence in the supernatural or reincarnation. All this belief worked for the betterment of the Indian food in reality - faith in the supernatural."
