CHRISTMAS TIME

 

That time that comes

and so quickly goes

Christmastime that reminds

me of so long ago

 

Mother and father

sisters and brothers

all huddled around

our separate piles

with smiles

 

Oh such joy

that brief glimpse

peeked through

the curtain of time

when we were young

and they were old

Now we are old

and they are gone
